ICSI CSEET Result: Scorecard, Passing Criteria and What Happens Next?

The wait after the last paper is rarely comfortable. You replay answers, compare them with friends, and try to predict a number nobody can predict. Your CSEET result ends the guessing in a single PDF, and it also decides how soon you can enter the CS Executive Programme.

A lot changed for this exam in 2026. ICSI shifted the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test from a home-based MCQ test to a written, centre-based exam worth 400 marks, spread across four days. The scoring changed with it, and so did the waiting period.

What Your CSEET Result Decides?

It is a qualifying result, not a competitive one. No cut-off rises or falls with the number of candidates.
Clearing it makes you eligible to register for the CS Executive Programme, the second stage of the CS course.
The result stays valid for one year from the date of declaration.
Your marks do not carry forward into Executive, and employers generally do not ask for your CSEET score later.
ICSI also publishes a merit list. Gungun topped the June 2026 session, followed by Srishti and Chavi Kamal Mittal.

CSEET Result Date: How the Timeline Works Now

Students still assume results arrive within ten days. That was true of the old online format. It is not true anymore.

Three of the four papers are now written papers, so evaluation takes weeks rather than days.
The June 2026 gap was roughly six weeks from the last paper to the result.
ICSI generally publishes CSEET results at 2:00 PM on icsi.edu, along with the session pass percentage.
The exact CSEET result date 2026 for the October session will be announced through an official notification a few days in advance. Treat dates published on coaching websites as estimates until ICSI confirms them.

How to Check the ICSI CSEET Result Online?

Open the official ICSI website, icsi.edu and find the result link for your session.
Enter your 17-digit registration number and date of birth.
Submit the form. Your scorecard will open on the screen.
Download the PDF and save a copy in two places, not one.
Print one copy for your records.

The portal often slows down during the first hour after the result is declared. Give it thirty minutes instead of refreshing the page twenty times.

What the CSEET Scorecard Shows?

Some students search for a CSEET score card, while others use a scorecard. Both refer to the same digital document. It carries:

Your name, roll number and registration number
The session and examination details
Paper-wise marks out of 100 for all four papers
Aggregate marks out of 400
Qualifying status, marked as PASS or FAIL

ICSI does not send a physical marksheet. The downloaded PDF is your official record. Check the spelling of your name and the other personal details the same day. These details follow you into Executive registration and later into your membership file, and corrections are far easier now than two years from now.

CSEET Passing Criteria and Passing Marks

Two conditions apply, and both must be met in the same sitting.

You need 40% in every paper and 50% overall.
Score 39 in one paper and you will be declared failed, even with 260 in aggregate.
There is no negative marking, including in the OMR paper.
There is no carry-forward and no paper-wise exemption across sessions. A failure means appearing for all four papers again.

One practical observation from the first restructured session is that students trained on the old objective format underestimated written answers. The June 2026 pass percentage was 68.45%, lower than several recent online sessions. Writing practice now matters as much as revision.

You Cleared the CSEET. What Happens Next?

Register for the CS Executive Programme through the ICSI SMASH portal. Keep your scorecard PDF ready.
Do not sit on the result. It remains valid for a year, but the examination cut-off not the validity period decides your first attempt.
ICSI accepts both-module registrations roughly nine months before an examination and single-module registrations about five months before it. The single-module cut-off is usually 31 January for the June session and 31 July for the December session.
A student clearing CSEET in late November 2026 is realistically looking at June 2027 for one module. Verify the published cut-off before making your plan.
Decide the number of modules honestly. Two modules together may suit students studying full-time. One module is often more practical for anyone managing college attendance or a job.

If the Result Says Fail

A failure here is a delay, not a verdict. ICSI places no limit on attempts.

The next session is February 2027. Registration closes months before the examination, so check the window early.
Open your scorecard and identify the paper that pulled you down. Students who miss the aggregate often find that one paper caused most of the damage.
Practise full-length written answers within the three-hour limit, preferably at the actual 2:30 PM examination slot.
Do not treat Business Laws and Management lightly because it is OMR-based. It still carries 100 marks.

Verification of Marks and Answer Scripts

Apply through the SMASH portal within the window ICSI announces alongside the results.
After the June 2026 declaration, verification opened on 16 July and closed on 5 August. The fee was ₹250 per subject and non-refundable.
Inspection of answer books cost ₹450 per subject, while certified copies cost ₹500 per subject. Applications remained open until 14 August 2026.
Verification checks for totalling errors and unevaluated answers. It is not a fresh valuation, so keep your expectations realistic.

Mistakes We See After Every CSEET Result

Waiting for a hard-copy marksheet that ICSI never sends.
Losing the scorecard PDF and struggling during registration.
Missing the Executive cut-off by a week and losing six months.
Applying for verification without reading the fee notification, only to miss the deadline.
Treating a weak aggregate as proof of poor ability when it often reflects weak answer presentation.

Your CSEET Result Is a Starting Line

Treat the CSEET result as an eligibility gate, nothing more. What shapes your CS journey is the decision you take during the two weeks after it: which module to attempt, when to register, and how to plan around the June or December Executive cycle.
