ICSI CS Result: How to Check Your Executive and Professional Marks, Session by Session?

The ICSI CS Result is an important milestone for students appearing for the CS Executive and Professional examinations. Results for the June and December sessions are published on the official ICSI website according to the Institute’s announced schedule. Knowing where and how to check the result can help you avoid confusion on result day.

Your marks statement provides more than a pass or fail status. It includes subject-wise marks, group aggregates, qualifying status, and any exemptions awarded. Understanding these details will help you decide what to do next, whether you are moving to the next level, preparing for another attempt, or applying for verification of marks.

This guide explains the complete result process for both levels of the CS course. It covers the result dates for each session, what to keep ready before logging in, how to check your CS Executive Result and CS Professional Result, and how to understand your marks.

When Does ICSI Declare the CS Result?

ICSI conducts two exam sessions each year. The CS Result Date usually follows a familiar pattern, with results announced on 25 February and 25 August.

A few things are worth knowing about the ICSI Result Date:

The Professional Programme result comes out at 11:00 AM. The Executive Programme result follows at 2:00 PM on the same day.
Both levels are now assessed under Syllabus 2022, so older module-wise notices may no longer apply to you.
Enrolment for the next attempt opens almost immediately. Students sitting for December 2026 could enrol from 26 August 2026, one day after the June result.
CSEET follows its own calendar and has a much quicker turnaround, so do not use the CS Result 2026 dates as a guide for the entrance test.

Dates do occasionally shift. The official notification on icsi.edu is always final.

What to Keep Ready Before You Log In?

Traffic on the portal peaks during the first half hour. Students who get through quickly are usually the ones who were not searching for a registration letter at 1:58 PM.

The 17-digit registration number, copied exactly as ICSI printed it
The roll number for that session, taken from your admit card
Your SMASH portal password, which is worth testing the previous evening
Your date of birth, since some result links use it instead of a password
A second device, as one browser may refuse to load the page

One more thing: screenshots forwarded on WhatsApp are not results. Every session, a few students react to an incorrect forward and lose half a day worrying about it.

How to Check Your CS Executive Result?

Open icsi.edu and go to the result section on the homepage.
Select the Executive Programme link for your session.
Enter your registration number along with the roll number or password.
Submit the details, then give the page a moment to load the subject-wise break-up.
Save the e-Result-cum-Marks Statement from your student login.
Check your name, roll number, and subject list before closing the tab.

ICSI no longer posts physical marksheets for CS Executive Results. Your downloaded statement is the official record, so keep one copy on your phone and email another to yourself.

How to Check the ICSI CS Professional Result?

Log in from 11:00 AM, when the ICSI CS Professional Result goes live.
Use the same registration number and roll number combination.
Read your group-wise status along with the aggregate for each group.
Download the e-Result-cum-Marks Statement immediately.
Watch for the formal statement, which ICSI posts to your registered address.
Check the provisional All India Merit List published on the same day.

What Your Marks Statement Shows?

The scorecard carries far more information than a simple pass or fail line.

Your name, roll number, and registration number
The programme and syllabus under which you appeared
Marks scored in every paper in the group
The aggregate for that group
Your qualifying status, along with any exemption granted or carried forward

The 40 and 50 Rule Behind Every Group

You need a minimum of 40% in each paper of the group.
You also need a 50% aggregate across all papers in that group.
Each group stands on its own, so a strong group cannot cover a weak one.
A single paper at 38 marks blocks the group, even when the aggregate looks healthy.

Counsellors at IIC Lakshya see this pattern repeat every session. A student builds two favourite subjects up to 65 and treats the fourth paper as something to manage during the final week. The aggregate may hold, but the group still fails.

The 60 Mark Exemption Students Miss

Score 60 or above in a paper while the group remains uncleared, and that paper may be exempted in later attempts.
The exemption also depends on securing the minimum marks prescribed in the remaining papers.
Once granted, you do not have to write that subject in later attempts unless the exemption is cancelled.
Read the exemption column carefully. Some students enrol for a paper from which they have already been exempted.

When the ICSI Exam Result Feels Wrong

Revaluation is not available; the Company Secretaries Regulations, 1982 rule it out. What ICSI does allow is verification of marks and access to evaluated answer books through its official portals. There are three routes.

Verification checks the totalling and confirms that no answer was left unevaluated.
Inspection and certified copies show you how the examiner awarded marks.
The window opens a day after the CS Exam Result, and processing may take close to seven weeks.
Fees are not refunded, whether your marks change or not.
A “result withheld” message may point to a pending fee or document. Contact ICSI rather than simply waiting it out.

Paying for verification while expecting a fresh evaluation
Losing the next enrolment window to one difficult week
Deciding to quit the course within a few hours of the ICSI Result
Skipping the download while the portal is still responding

The Week After Your Result

Cleared the group? Start working on registration and training for the next stage. Executive qualifiers should complete their Professional registration early, since those windows often close sooner than students expect.

If you did not clear the group, work through the numbers before reacting.

Write down every paper with its marks and circle anything below 40.
Separate a preparation problem from a presentation problem, because the solutions are different.
Compare your score with that session’s pass percentage for context.
Enrol for the coming session within the window, even while your study plan is being rebuilt.
Speak with a mentor who has seen students recover from the same position.

Your CS Result Is Data, Not a Verdict

A CS Result records how your preparation held up during one exam session. It does not decide your career. Plenty of Company Secretaries cleared on their third attempt and now sign the same compliance reports as those who qualified in one go. What separated them was how quickly they understood their marks and returned to work.

Treat the ICSI portal as your only reliable source on result day, download the statement while the page is still loading smoothly, and hold off on major decisions for a week.
