Students planning a career in accounting or finance often consider B.Com with ACCA. This combination allows you to pursue a university degree while working towards a professional accounting qualification.
Your B.Com gives you an academic degree from a recognised university, while ACCA provides the professional accounting qualification. Studying ACCA alongside B.Com does not affect the validity of your university degree. The overlap between subjects can also help you manage both with a sensible study plan.
However, ACCA B.Com programmes differ from college to college. Before enrolling, it helps to understand which university awards the degree, how the classes are scheduled and what exemptions are available. This guide explains what you need to know before choosing a programme.
Doing ACCA with B.Com gives you two different things. Adding ACCA doesn't weaken the degree in any way.

You do a normal B.Com and, during those same three years, you write ACCA exams too. That's the B.Com with ACCA meaning: studying for both qualifications together. Some universities offer four-year routes, so check the degree duration. Most colleges arrange it in one of two ways.
Two phrases from ads need clearing up. ACCA itself doesn't award a separate ACCA degree in India, and there's no ACCA University in India either. ACCA approves learning partners and recognises university syllabi for exemptions, but it doesn't run universities here.
That depends on which country you're asking about.
That's exactly why B.Com with ACCA in India makes sense. You gain global recognition without risking your academic eligibility.
A good chunk of the syllabus repeats, and that overlap in B.Com with ACCA subjects is the main reason students combine the two. ACCA has 13 papers right now, and several core subjects you study in college match parts of them.
